POPPY, as she’s commonly called, was one of my favorites
since she was born. She’s kinda shy and a bit dramatic, but that’s just Poppy.
She attended the Nebraska State Fair as a dry yearling and was awarded ResCH. We
had big aspirations for this doe. Unfortunately, she freshened with mastitis the
following year, but I was determined to not give up on her. She earned her milk
star with half her udder full of scar tissue. No sale barn for her! She finally
made it to the show ring in 2022 as a milker and you could tell she loved it!
Her 2021 doeling, Pez, could be one to watch this year and her 2022 kid,
Crystalline Sugar, is a favorite also. |
