And WOW it was a good year for WENDY! She always seemed to
be in her littermate, Katie Ka-Pow’s shadow….but not this year! She wasn’t going
to be bred for 2022 kids, but with Katie not settling, we decided to go ahead
and breed Wendy, hence the late May freshening. She gave us 3 doelings and
surprised us all. Her udder really came in and her massive amount of baby weight
just kept coming off…. obviously she wanted to seize the moment with her sister,
Katie, sidelined. Wendy sat out the first show in June in Salina, KS and then
went on to win ResCH at Nebraska State Fair to some very beautiful and
intimidating competition. Finished up the season with GCH at the Tulsa State
Fair. Her daughters, Walla-Walla (2020), and She’s My Winona (2021) both got
lots of attention in the show ring this year, so we repeated the 2021 breeding
to Blissberry Mr. Manhattan. Fingers crossed for more does!!
